Chateau Calavon, Michel Audibert
The Château de Calavon belongs to the Audibert family, who have been making wine in Lambesc for 5 generations. It is, without doubt, the oldest vineyard in the surrounding area. This 47 hectare vineyard was first cultivated by the Princes of Orange before being divided up after the French Revolution and slowly reconstructed through the centuries. In the middle of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence area, the History of the Château is closely linked to the wine tradition. The wines of Château de Calavon have always been known for their character : aromatic, powerful and well-bodied. The reds and rosés are regularly mentionned in the wine guides and obtain regularly medals in competitions. For several years, the team of the Chateau has set many qualitative objectives including the development of a great white wine and red wines of exception, with a real expression of our terroir.
