Fleur d’Eglantine 2007

This rosé, produced by the bled-vat method (saignée), is comprised of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan that is 100% derived from the Appellation of “Costières de Nimes”.

The Fleur d’Eglantine owes its name to the colour of its robe, resembling that of the wild or dog rose, and that perfectly reflects its unique character.

With an excellent aromatic length and depth, the 2003 vintage displays fresh, elegant and ethereal floral notes overlying aromas of pear and light red fruits, including raspberry and red currant.

Equally appreciated as an aperitif or throughout a meal, the “Fleur d’Eglantine” expresses itself best at 9° and served as an accompaniment to grilled tuna or sea bass, paella, curried mussels or, alternatively, sweet and savoury Asian dishes such as pork with pineapple and chicken with orange.

Color : Tender rose petal color.

Nose : Floral nose (peony) underlined by citrus fruit notes.

Mouth : aerial wine, fresh entry, tonic mouth, big notes of fruity aromas (red currant, pear).
