"This property is situated in Saint Fiacre with vines on slopes that are in the perfect triangle where the Sevre and Maine come together. Christophe Gadais and his father worked with Robert Chadderdon for years when Mr. Chadderdon represented the Domaine for the U.S. market. Now Christophe is being gradually succeded by his son, Pierre Henri, a bright, talented and dedicated young vigneron. Pierre Henri’s great grandfather worked with Frank Schoonmaker, so as one can see, this has long been a Domaine respected by the top importers. For our first vintage with the Gadais family we have selected a single cuvee, the entire production from one parcel, Les Avineaux -- “granit” soil, steep slope with north east exposition overlooking the point of confluence. Viticulture is sustainable with some organic experimentation. Elevage was on the lies."
