A unique gift from the Mourvèdre capitol of France, this small production Bandol Blanc consists essentially of Clairette and Ugni Blanc with some Bourboulenc Sauvignon to complete the assembly. Entirely hand-harvested at low yields of just 34hL/ha. The nose combines notes of coriander, dill and white peaches. In the mouth, Ugni, bourboulenc and cabernet give vivacity, minerality and develop notes of citrus, quince and white flowers. Clairette gives structure, richness and fennel aromas of white peaches and hops.
Every January, this cuvée is assembled by Peter Weygandt at the domaine with Stéphane Bourret (wine-maker) and the Bronzo family so every year the blend is a little different, but the quality and signature "Bastide Blanche Bandol rosé" character never strays. Dominant Mourvèdre with about equal parts Cinsault and Grenache from hand-harvested grapes on clay-limestone soil with cailloux, yielding only about 36hL/ha. About 1100 cases produced.
A stunning value from Bandol - hand-harvested at low yields of 36hL/ha. Entirely destemmed, 22 day fermentation on indigenous yeasts with occasional pigeage in foudre. Aged in large foudre.
Castillons Bandol Rosé
A recently acquired 8 hectare domaine just across the road from Domaine de La Bastide with the only difference in terroir being of a slightly more gravelly nature making the style more mineral and pure in contrast to the La Bastide Blanche Bandol rosé. About equal parts Mourvèdre and Cinsault with some Grenache.
Bandol Single Vineyard "Estagnol"
A 1.5ha area of the domaine's oldest vines of Mourvèdre and Grenache from clay and limestone soils, these plots have the distinction of being east to west facing, causing later ripening. Entirely hand-harvested with two passages through the vines still yields only 25hL/ha. Entirely destemmed, 22 day fermentation on indigenous yeasts with occasional pigeage in foudre. Aged in large foudre. With an intense purplish color, nose of black olive and black fruits, the palate is powerful, demonstrative and the finish is complex with graphite, olive and iris notes. Excellent cellaring potential. 5,000 bottles produced.

A 1.75 single vineyard called "Fontanieu", North facing, in the town of Cadiere d' Azuron on a unique red clay soil that naturally provides a mineral tension and raciness complemented by notes of nutmeg and violet.
