Short pruning, tall espalier training, surface tillage, d
e-budding and cluster thinning all make for low yields of 30 to 35 hectolitres per hectare.

The grapes are picked by hand using small crates.

De
-stemming. Traditional maceration of 3 to 4 weeks. Drawing-off and  « pigeages ». Barrel-ageing on the lees for twelve months, followed by another year in vats, enhances the bouquet.

 

Tasting

 "Clean, poised wine showing a cedar/berry character.  A streamlined palate still carrying a cloak of oak, with good acid and balanced fair tannins. 2-5 years "  (Decanter, December 2005).
