Willamette Valley, Oregon
Bobby Rowett honed his winemaking techniques by working as an apprentice winemaker to Mas de Gourgonnier, Hewitson Wines, Cinder Wines, The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company, and Goodfellow Family Cellars. After this winemaking tour, he started Mellen Meyer utilizing the winery at Goodfellow Family Cellars, producing 70 cases in 2013. Today, Mellen Meyer is located atop the Dundee Hills at Winter's Hill Estate with a production of around 1000 cases of Willamette Valley sparkling wine per year. The vineyards are sustainable and dry-farmed. He uses only native yeasts and primarily neutral oak barrels for fermentation, including Oregon oak.
