Patrick et Christophe Bonnefond

France, Rhône, Côte Rôtie

Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond make very pure, concentrated wines (both Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie) with the top cuvées, Rochains and Côte Rosiers, both adjoining La Landonne on either side, built for longue garde (long aging).  They are also very good value (like Colline de Couzou) Côte-Rôtie.  Demi-muids and barrels, and almost no new oak.  Bonnefond has been scored high by Vinous (Josh Raynolds) and in the last issue of Revue du Vin de France Christophe was pictured and featured as one of the producers in Cote-Rotie to watch. One-star rating in RVF Green Guide 2015.  The Rochins is very old vines, as is the Côte Roziers.
