Vincent Gasse

Marie-Claude Lafoy & Vincent Gasse

Vincent Gasse also has an extremely small domaine, with less than two hectares of Cote-Rotie. All of his vines are situated in the Cote-Brune.

The Vieilles Vignes is from a parcel planted before World War II, and the vines are from a clone of Syrah that is no longer planted, because it produces so little. These grapes, however, produce a beautiful, almost violet scented wine. His other parcel in the Cote-Brune is situated in the lieu-dit Rosier, adjoining La Landonne.

Gasse practices bio-dynamic viticulture (all organic) and with his low yields, natural viticulture, minimal intervention and not filtering makes some of the most age- worthy, concentrated, wines of the entire appellation, and also some of the hardest to find.
