HENGSTBERG GRUENER VELTLINER 2004
Region : Wagram Grown organically Vinified in 1 000L porcelain tanks Are only harvested the ripest, most beautiful grapes from the highest "mountain" (371 m above sea leve). A fine, mineral Veltliner Varietal : Gruener Veltliner stocks with a small amount of other old varietals in field blend Site and soil : South facing terraces on "Hengstberg", 360 m above sea-level. "Tonige", sandy brown fossil limestone earth. Vinification : The selected fully ripe wines are harvested at about 18,5 degrees KMW, pressed pneumatically, fermented slowly without residual sugar in 1 000L porcelain tanks. After the first late punching down, refilled, finally filtered with / Kieselgur and until bottling is finished again in porcelain tanks. Bottled end of March 2005 Analysis :12,5 % alc/vol. dry Serving temperature : about 10 degrees Celsius |
