The Estate was first managed by great grandfather Giacinto, then by grandfather Giovanni (licensedto in 1927), and finally by Agostino, father of Dino, Diana and Gianni, who now are at the helm of it. Since 1998, Dino (the winemaker) has been in charge of the vineyards and production, Diana of the administration, and Gianni of the commercial and customer relations aspects. Year after year, the three Bertolino siblings have studied the wine-making process carefully and learnt all its secrets. Now they offer well-known wines of superb and appreciated quality. They are currently supported in their activities by oenologist Giuseppe Caviola.  All vines are trained by Guyot method and by hand. Farming is sustainable, which for this estate bans the use of all herbicides, chemical fertilizers and only traditional copper and sulfur are used sparingly.  All grapes are hand-harvested and tractor is only use to cut grass planted between the rows and to spray copper sulfur only when necessary.  The two Barbera d’Asti Superiores produced at this estate, La Nizza and Le Rochette, receive some of the highest praises by journalists year after year.  Their house Barbera “La Villa”, two Gavis, freshly bottled Moscato to order and old vines Grignolino all offer sensational values for such top-notch quality and authenticity.
